چکیده

In this paper, the evolution of cavitation bubbles is investigated. A model developed to describe cyclic chain-like cloud and analyze its structure stability in a thin liquid layer. By considering effect secondary acoustic radiation bubbles, dynamic equations three zones chain are obtained. The Bjerknes force selected used explore interaction between different regions. Numerical results show that newborn inside pure zone layer can be attracted by at bubble chain. number density affect coupling strength it closely related driving pressure. Stability of cavitation structures in a thin liquid layer.

The inception and evolution of acoustic cavitation structures in thin liquid layers under different conditions and perturbations are investigated experimentally with high speed photography. The stability and characterization of cavitation structures are quantified by image analysis methods. It is found that cavitation structures (shape of bubble cloud and number of bubbles) are stable under una...

Stability of an evaporating thin liquid film

We use a newly developed set of boundary conditions to revisit the problem of an evaporating thin liquid film. In particular, instead of the conventional Hertz–Knudsen– Langmuir equation for the evaporation mass flux we impose a more general equation expressing the balance of configurational momentum. This balance, which supplements the conventional conditions enforcing the balances of mass, mo...

Stability and dewetting of thin liquid films

The stability of thin liquid coatings is of fundamental interest in everyday life. Homogeneous and non-volatile liquid coatings may dewet either by heterogeneous nucleation, thermal nucleation, or spinodal dewetting. Wetting and dewetting is explained on a fundamental level, including a discussion of relevant interactions. The chapter will also address the various dewetting scenarios and explai...

Spreading profile of evaporative liquid drops in thin porous layer.

Spreading of evaporative liquid drops in a thin porous layer has been studied. The entire spreading process can be divided into three distinct phases according to the change of the wetted porous region size. The first phase is characterized by the expansion of the wetted porous region and shrinking of the liquid drop. Contact line pinning is observed in the wetted porous region in the second ph...

The collective motion of nematodes in a thin liquid layer†

Many organisms live in confined fluidic environments such as the thin liquid layers on the skin of host organisms or in partially-saturated soil. We investigate the collective behaviour of nematodes in a thin liquid layer, which was first described by Gray and Lissmann [J. Exp. Biol., 1964, 41, 135]. We show experimentally that nematodes confined by a thin liquid film come into contact spontane...
